CleanCopy Privacy Policy
CleanCopy is designed to clean supported metadata from JPEG photos entirely on your Android device.
Photos you select
CleanCopy can open only the photos you explicitly choose through Android Photo Picker. It does not request access to your full photo library. Originals are read-only and are never overwritten or deleted by the app.
On-device processing
Supported JPEG photos are processed locally on your device. CleanCopy creates new copies, verifies them before and after saving, and exposes only verified copies for sharing. Temporary cache files and unpublished MediaStore entries are removed after completion, failure, cancellation, or recovery on the next launch.
Data collection and sharing
CleanCopy does not collect or share personal data, photos, metadata, identifiers, usage data, diagnostics, purchase data, or location. It contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, account, or network SDK.
Network access
The Android app does not request the INTERNET permission. Core functionality works in airplane mode.
Generated copies
Verified copies are stored in Pictures/CleanCopy on your device. You control these files and may view, share, or delete them using your device's apps.
Supported content and limitations
Version 1 supports JPEG photos only, with up to 10 photos per batch. PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, video, RAW, and other formats are not supported. CleanCopy reduces exposure from supported metadata; it cannot guarantee anonymity or control how another service handles a shared file.
Children
CleanCopy is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. Because no personal data is collected, the app does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated policy will be posted at this same address with a new effective date. Material changes to app behavior will also be reflected in the Google Play listing.
